Highlighter tips

Highlighter is one of the Mike pens. It is also called highlight pen, liquid highlighter, 2-in-1 highlighter or 5-in-1 highlighter. It is used to show the key points of the text, so that the content is presented striking colors but does not affect the content of reading. Highlighter ink is translucent color, it cannot be seen after reprographic reproduction.

Writing principle: The principle is adding an ultraviolet visible fluorescence excitation of (complex) compounds in the ink. Additional energy is produced by absorbing light energy to produce atomic energy level transition, then release the extra energy absorbed. Security feature is that it emits visible light of red, yellow, green, blue (400nm – 800nm) under UV light (200nm – 400nm). Highlighters have fluorescent agents. Its color gives dazzling fluorescent feeling, white light, when is encounters with the UV (sunlight, fluorescent lamps, more with mercury lights). Nowadays, there are hidden colorless highlighters. No color after writing, the contents can be displayed under the violet light exposure at the end of the pen.
